I've been trying to compile the all-time strat team, with a balance of important players to the franchise, important seasons with that franchise, and sometimes a strat card too good to not include (favoring a weighted balance card and not necessarily the best year). Totally subjective. Plus, the process was really haphazard, just looking at baseball reference and then quickly scanning the cards.

Wanted to see if anyone had done this before and would compare teams. I'm envisioning some kind of tournament among the teams -- so i'm being generous to the newer franchises. Also, wouldnt be strict about letting SP pitch in relief, but trying to do at least two LHRP and two RHRP in each bullpen

For starters, here's the All-Time Mets

Piazza '98 - C
Carter '85 - C
Olerud '98 - 1B
Hernandez '84 - 1B
Duda '11 - 1B/OF
Alfonzo '00 -2B
Wright '07 - 3B
Ventura '99 - 3B
HoJo '89 - 3B
Reyes '06 - SS
Ordonez '99 -SS
Cleon Jones '69 - LF
Gilkey '96 - LF
Beltran '06 - CF
Straw '85 - RF

Gooden '85 - SP
Seaver '71 - SP
Matlack '74 - SP
Degrom '15 - SP
Syndergaard '16 - SP
Harvey '13 - SP
McGraw '71 - RP
Benitez '99 - RP
Wagner '06 - RP
McDowell '85 - RP

bonus roster spots
Franco '92 - RP
Orosco '83- RP
Koosman '69 - SP
Leiter '98 - SP
Mazilli '79 - CF
Agee '70- OF
Conforto '17 - OF

I think the Piazza card is 2000 instead of '98 (the one with the sick 1 column).
DeGrom I think will need to change to the Cy card next year. I'd also change Duda to '14.
Otherwise this is a decent team.
