Sorry yes 1906 as listed in the poll above. Must have been too much cutting and pasting. Thanks for the catch, I'll correct that in the details now.

I'm with STEVEF on this. I don't have a strong feeling either way on any of these cards, so I'm open to persuasion. Partisans, please persuade! :D

Campaigning for Fritz Peterson... His one card in the set is mostly unusable and not one of his 5 best years. His 1969 card is a good one and needs your support!

Vote for Fritz!!!

2 players on this list who had great cards back in the days of the board game are Atlee Hammaker ( Giants) and Dave Righetti ( As a starter with Yankees). Both of these players would help those of us who play franchise leagues. With that same thought in mind , I would also lobby for both Gary Peters and Tommy John, both playing for the Whitesox.

Ernie Shore not represented in ATG...RedSox in he 1910's were formiddable to say the least and Ernie Shore should be in, there are two other Mike McCormick cards in the ATG and neither is his Cy Young Award winning 1967 season... not the first person I would have guessed if you asked me who won the 1967 NL CY young award... Tesreau 1912 also not represented...pitched 3 times against Smoky Joe Wood in 1912 series.

I rarely lobby for player cards. Folks submit so many worthy cards without my adding to it.

I'm a Cardinals fan. My SOM Cardinal teams always play to mediocre results. They need pitching help.

Please consider Dick Hughes, 1967: 16-6, 2.57 ERA, 0.95 WHIP
1st in WHIP, H/9, 2nd in ROY (to Tom Seaver), 17th in MVP
Appeared in 40 games, started 27 games (he replaced Al Jackson in rotation in late May).
222 IP, 12 CG, 3 saves.

In spring training of 1968, Hughes was warming up in the bullpen when he felt pain in his throwing shoulder. Though un-diagnosed at the time, the injury was later determined to be a torn rotator cuff. At the time, there was no surgery to fix such an injury. 1968 was his last year. Apparently a phenom cut down pre-Tommy John, but he did not appear in the majors until his age 29 season.
