1925 Roger Peckinpaugh -- MVP, .294/.367/.379, 3L?, slightly better card than what we have

1958 Ernie Banks -- MVP, .313/.366/.614, led the league in games played (doh!), at bats, homers, rbis, slugging, total bases, career highs in homers (47), triples (11), hits (193), batting average, runs scored -- in short, arguably his best offensive year

1962 Elio Chacon -- Mets shortstop in their inaugural season (splitting time with Felix Mantilla), .236/.368/.296, 76 bb in 449 PA

1991 Greg Gagne MIN R 2L SS-1e12 265/309/395 NO CARD, Twins need a 1 at SS
1979 Roy Smalley Jr MIN S 2L SS-2e30, 1b-4e25 271/353/441 1970s SS with power
1980 Garry Templeton STL S E SS-1e42 319/342/417 MUCH BETTER OFFENSIVE CARD
1978 Dave Concepcion CIN R 4L SS-1e25 301/357/405 better representation
1979 Dave Concepcion CIN R 1L SS-1e30 281/348/415 better representation part 2
1978 Ivan DeJesus CHC R 1L SS-2e28 278/356/354 NO CARD, 1970's Cubs need SS
1975 Chris Speier SF R 1L SS-2e16, 3b-4e37 271/362/415 Much better representation
1976 Bill Russell LA R 2L SS-2e30 274/301/343
1934 Billy Rogell DET R 1R SS-2e31 296/374/392 NO CARD, Tigers 1930's SS
1935 Billy Rogell DET R E SS-2e24 275/367/388 Offense not quite as good, defense better

Rogell was SS on Tigers 1934 World Series team and for most of 1930's
Greg Gagne was SS on two World Series Champs, Twins need him badly
Dejesus gives Cubs SS

Concepcion needs a card with less problems (1975 card is not good offensively, 1981 card has 40 errors)

Speier, Russell need improvements

Templeton was an offensive force while with the Cardinals, never replicated in San Diego. Give him a stronger card

Bill Almon 1981 CHW SS 0 15 301/341/375/717 MVP-19
Hubie Brooks 1985 MON SS 0 15 269/310/413/723/MVP-14/depth to MON SS
Bert Campaneris 1970 OAK SS 3 19 BC/279/321/341/769/22hr/MVP-24
Dick McAuliffe* 1966 DET SS/3B 2 16 BC/274/373/509/882/His main position was shortstop in 1966. The only good lefty hitting SS in ATG who are 3 or better Vaughan, Lloyd, Travis and Pesky. He more then likely have a range of 3
Luis Aparicio 1970 CWS SS 3 18 BC/313/372/404/HOF SS/career highs in BA, SLG, OBP, OPS & OPS+. Last of 9 Gold Gloves. Most HOFers have their best card, but not Aparicio. CWS desperately need expansion SS

1922 Charlie Hollocher CHC L E SS-2e30 340/403/444
Lefty SS.........

Almon (SS-3e27) and Hubie Brooks (SS-3e30) defense will be prohibitive.

1920 Hollocher hits righties better. How is the D?

58 Banks, 70 Aparicio have lots of merit.

91 Gagne, 80 Templeton, 79 Concepcion too.

DeJesus was not overly accomplished - 78/79 was as good as it got for him - but yes, more Cubbies would be a plus for all the Chicago based sadomasochists out there.

He's a 1e44

The 1920 card may lean more RH, but I think the 1922's E looks as good vs RH as the 1920.
