Gabe actually pitched 1 inning for the Reds in 2000, you were looking at his ERA of 18.00!!! LOL That's probably why he was traded, HA

In reviewing Neifi Perez and Seth Smith it looks like they will end up well north of $1m

I'm going to submit the Rockies team to STRAT as soon as we get this done, not waiting for the rest of the 25 to get voted on. Yes I'm lagging on that, sorry.

Drop Jorge Julio (2007/ $.53) and replace with Matt Herges (2007/ $3.69)
Herges : http://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/90249/2007/1/2007

Jeff Francis (2006)
Steve Reed would be my pick for another RP

Either Eric Young Jr (2011/ $.50) or Jonathan Herrera (2011/ $.91) as bench player

Herrera. Might actually get used.

I like the Herrera card as the last bench player.

1995 Curt Leskanic-RP
http://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/3483/1690/1/90

2010 Jhoulys Chacin-SP
http://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/91312/2010/1/2010

Bench Players
2008 Scott Podsednik

As for Fuentes. If not the 2007 and you want to upgrade then use 2008. The 2007 season is what we have chosen and staying with that card keeps the team season concept intact. I'm good either way.

I would vote for Jeff Francis 2006 over 2007. Lower whip, much better hr ratio.
By a sight margin, I'd vote for 2013 Chacin over his other years.

Another starter could be Jimenez 2009. We have 2010 which is a better card than 2009, but 2009 Jimenez might be the second best Rockies starting season for over 150 innings. Good HR ratio

Or new blood could be Jason Jennings 2006. 213 IP, 1.37 whip, decent hr ratio. A big yawner. I think we are best going with more relievers for the Rockies. It's hard to find usable starters. Just probably more of what we've got in the pool.

Another new card add for Colorado would be the truly disappointing Mike Hampton. He made 124 million dollars in his career with a career whip of 1.42, finished 2nd in the Cy Young for the Astros, and had a career best 1.26 whip. The Rockies got him after two years with the Mets because he led the league two years in a row in HR allowed (in Shea). His two Rockies years were 1.58 and 1.79. Atrocious, but he's eating caviar and lounging in his mansion.

You know, Hampton's 2002 1.79 whip might be a valuable card, because he didn't relieve at all that year. It's so bad it might be priced as a .50 SP only card. That has value.
