Browns pitiching possibilities (besides Potter and Pelty):

1904 Harry Howell 13-21 2.19/1.048
1905 Harry Howell 15-22 1.98/1.093 (No Cards for this RH starter)
1944 Jack Kramer 17-13 2.49/1.198 (Far better card than his '48 one)
1908 Rube Waddell 19-14, 3 saves 1.89/1.096 (nice alternative to his A's card)
1914 Carl Weilman 17-12, 1 save 2.08/1.151 (much better alternative to his other two cards)

Oriole possibilities for pitchers:

2007 Erik Bedard 13-5 3.16/1.088 (LH with a 4R, S6 non*)
1984 Mike Boddicker 20-11 2.79/1.144
1971 Pat Dobson 20-8, 1 save 2.90/1.102 (needs a Baltimore card)
1979 Mike Flanagan 23-9 3.08/1.186 (Cy Young winner, much better card)
1974 Ross Grimsley 18-13, 1 save 3.07/1.160 (better card than we have)
2002 Buddy Groom 3-2, 2 saves 1.60/0.903 (LH reliever, probably a 2 or 3L)
1962 Dick Hall 6-6, 6 saves 2.28/1.023
1964 Dick Hall 9-1, 7 saves 1.85/.0844 (either would be better cards than the three we have)
1967 Jim Hardin 8-3, 2.27/1.009 (S/R non*, 140 ERA+, much better than the 1970 card)
1992 Mike Mussina 18-5 2.54/1.079
1994 Mike Mussina 16-5 3.06/1.163
1997 Mike Mussina 15-8 3.20/1.117 (any would be nice additions)
1997 Randy Myers 2-3, 45 saves 1.51/1.156 (we have a Mets and Red card)
2012 Darren O'Day 7-1 2.28/0.940 (no BP singles, R1, 2R)
1958 Billy O'Dell 14-11, 8 saves 2.97/1.139
1959 Billy O'Dell 10-12, 1 save 2.93/1.154 (don't have an Oriole card, '58 is an 8L -- just some walks, both S/R)
1992 Gregg Olson 1-5, 36 saves 2.05/1.141 (no cards, RHP 5L)
1997 Jesse Orosco 6-3 2.32/1.172 (LOOGY -- 9L, no BP singles)
1971 Jim Palmer 20-9 2.68/1.195
1973 Jim Palmer 22-9, 1 save 2.40/1.141
1976 Jim Palmer 22-13 2.51/1.076
1977 Jim Palmer 20-11 2.91/1.135 (is Palmer doomed never to perform well in ATG? '73 & '76 Cy Young winner)
1993 Jim Poole 2-1, 2 saves 2.15/1.013 (LH reliever, probably a 2 or 3L)
1997 Arthur Rhodes 10-3, 1 save 3.02/1.059 (not quite as good as the 2001 card but probably an R2 and 1L)
1967 Eddie Watt 3-5, 8 saves 2.26/1.003 (4R, probably a R2 or R3)
1962 Hoyt Wilhelm 7-10, 15 saves 1.94/1.054 (2L, no BP HR, card to document his RP work in Baltimore)

Good card vetting. As a group please give me your 5 with 2 alternates by Thursday @ 5pm PT so we can get the voting underway.

I think we each have our own opinions. Short of sitting in a room and discussing everything, maybe you pick the 5 you think are best - if people have strong disagreement, we can discuss one or two that way.

The Oriole I'd most like to see added would be 1973 Grant Jackson

We can add 15 to this franchise and really add great cards

Here's my top 6 orioles today
Zach Britton 2016 67 ip .84 whip 9.94 k/9 NO CARD,
Harold Baines 1999 322/395/583 THREE CARDS, this is his best hitting year in a 22 year career
John Lowenstein 1982 platoon king 320/415/602 (98% of his 384 plate appearances were against righties) ONE CARD, this is a huge upgrade
Chris Davis 2013 286/370/634 NO CARD (3rd in MVP)
Roberto Alomar 1996 328/411/527 THREE CARDS, this gives him a Baltimore card
Buddy Groom 2002 62 ip .9 whip 6.97 k/9 14 year career NO CARD

Browns I also really like are

Ken Williams 1923 357/439/623 THREE CARDS, missing his best year
George Sisler 1922 420/467/594 TWO CARDS, missing this MVP year

As I say, we have a lot of voices, all coming from different angles, so I think we are reliant on you Rosie to do what you think best.

My five personal choices:

2002 Buddy Groom
1904 Harry Howell
1942 Wally Judnich
2004 Melvin Mora
1980 Al Bumbry

My two alternates:

1999 B.J. Surhoff
1948 Al Zarilla

The '22 Sisler card is being nominated in the "stud" category elsewhere.

After reviewing all the posts here's what I'm proposing we go with for the 3 spots...
Roberto Alomar 1996 BAL 2B 3 17 328/411/527/938 MVP-20 GG SS New Franch
Chris Davis 2013 BAL 1B 0 10 286/370/634/1004 6R MVP-3
Buddy Groom 2002 BAL RP 0 14 0.9whip 6.97k/9
Harry Howell 1904 SLB SP* 0 13 1.048whip 2.19era 299IN
Grant* Jackson 1973 BAL RP 1 18 0.97whip 1.90era 80IP 5R New Franch
John Lowenstein 1982 BAL LF RF 1 16 BC 320/415/602/1017 (3+1e0) 9R
Nels Potter 1945 SLB SP* 0 14 15-11 1.097whip 21CG 2.47era
Al Zarilla 1948 SLB OF 1 10 MBC 329/389/482/871 MVP-18 New Franch

I also really like Bumbry but there's not consensus on the best yr to nominate. Any major issues with the 8 above?

Britton is an obvious stud but 2016 is just too recent for me.

As much as I think that the Zarilla card would be a great add (I did nominate it at some point here), I think the Judnich card might be better. It probably comes down to Zarilla's defense. Anybody with a card reader who can give us the '48 Zarilla defensive ratings? We know that Judnich is a 2(-1) across the outfield. Thanks.
