1. 2021 Brandon Lowe TB 2b left-handed hitting second basemen with 39 HRs. Eight ballpark homerun chances on each side of card. Only one other lefty batting 2B in MLB history with 39 HRs (Cano). Huge add for the offensively challenged Rays. Great fit for Tropicana Field 1999. https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/94319/2021/1/2021
2. 1986 Don Sutton , Angels card. A relatively cheap backward card that would play well in lefty or small ball parks. https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/41788/1986/1/101
3. 2021 Vlad Guerrrero JR .311/.401/.601 48 hrs https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/94251/2021/1/2021
4. 1972 Carlos May CWS helped Dick Allen put Sox in the hunt and a nice upgrade over current 1970 card .308/.405/.843 https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/73 ... 70/1/70OPS
5. 1882 Joe Start PRO 1B. Start was 4 years old when baseball was invented and 16 when he began playing as an amateur before the Civil War. By the time the NL debuted in 1876 he was already 33. Yet despite the constantly changing rules and equipment that characterized the sport's earliest years, Start was productive for the duration of his 28-year career, with an OPS+ of 121 as a professional. 1882, his age 39 year, is his best eligible season: .329/.342/.407 for a 142 OPS+.
6. 1990 Cal Ripken bal ss set all time record for fewest errors by a SS. over 20 doubles and 20 HR's. also bullet proof as in 0 injury. think he would be a 2/0 at SS. make a great addition to the set and he deserves having not only his but baseball's all-time career SS fielding year in the set.
7. 2018 Adam Ottavino COL RP - 2.43 ERA/.99 WHIP. 112 Ks in 78 IP.
https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/91711/2018/1/2018
8. 2009 Shin-Soo Choo CLE OF - 20/20 hitter with a .300 avg. Plays all 3 OF spots (4 in CF). Provides a solid LH Bat in RF for expansion era Cleveland. https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/1335/2009/1/2009
9. 2021 Salvasor Perez, KC Catcher. Lead league with 48 HR and 121 RBI. All-Star, 7th in MVP voting. And Royals need Bats! https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/91618/2021/1/2021
10. 2021 Bryce Harper PHI RF 35 HR .309/.429/.615. https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/91587/2021/1/2021
11. 1940 Frankie Hayes Philadelphia A's Catcher .308 BA .389 OBP .477 SLG
12.1930 Smead Jolley 'The Arkansas Assassin' Chicago White Sox Lefty hitting LF- RF 651 PA 616 AB 313/346/492 WITH 38 doubles 12 triples 16 home runs. Member of The Pacific Coast League Hall of Fame.
13.2000 Edgardo Alfonzo NYM We have two years, but this is by far his best hitting year, with career highs in OBP and SLG, 967 OPS, 147 OPS+. and this would be his first 1, as the card reader shows he is 2b1e12 (the averaged mystery card rating does not show his real 2000 defensive rating). This would be the Mets' most expensive 2B https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/3732/1700/1/120
14. 1983 LaMarr Hoyt 24-10 1.02 WHIP AL Cy Young Award winner. Hoyt is currently represented by only his far inferior 1984 season, when he was the main reason why the White Sox lead the majors with 99 wins in 1983. https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/835661/1680/1/80
15. 1886 Henry Boyle SP SLM(NL) 1.76 era 1.09 whip 210 IP 2R S9*(?)
16. 1958 Wes Covington MIL LF - Would be a huge upgrade to his current cards and a great platoon option. His splits vs rhp was .366 avg - .413 obp - .715 slg. Most likely a 9R.
17. 1978 Ross Grimsley, LHSP, Expos 20-11 3.05 1.156 2L Career bests in W, W-L%, H9, HR9, ERA+. Near career bests in GS, IP, FIP & BB9. This was Grimsley's best season, and his card is better than his numbers. Grimsley is the only 20 game winner in Expos history! Grimsley has just one lousy other card. https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/734694/1670/1/70
18. 1985 Mike Davis, RF-2 (-3) e9, CF-2. E splits, Stealing A, Run 1-16, 24 HR, 34 DO, .287/.348/.484 - No card. A solid LH hitting OF, playable at 2 positions with terrific arm. Fine platoon option at $100M+, a great everyday option at lower caps. Probably in the $3-4M salary range. https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/832833/1680/1/80
19. 1977 Gene Tenace. He led the league in walks and hbp that year. 4 on Defense, but also plays 1b and 3b. He played 893 games at catcher and 627 at first base, and finished with 46.8 WAR. The current 1973 card is probably his fourth best. The 1977 card is an onbase machine and will be oft used at catcher. https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/41940/1977/5/1977
20. 1916 Eppa Rixey , Phillies S/R LHP, 22-10 1.85 1.091 Career bests in ERA, WHIP, H9. Near career bests in Wins, HR9, SO9, SO/BB. Perhaps the only HOF SP in ATG9 without his best card. Phillies could always use more SP.
21. 1992 Bob Tewksbury, 16-5, 233 IP, 2.16 ERA, 1.017 WHIP, 3rd in Cy Young vote, https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/3288/1690/1/90
22. 1990 Fred McGriff Toronto 1B- Toronto needs a card of the Hall of Fame first baseman, a good right handed hitting card for a platoon situation. https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/3384/1690/1/90
23. 1952 Joe Black Dodgers RP- 52 Rookie of the Year, 5th black pitcher in MLB, helped define the role of a reliever. 15-4 2.15 ERA, 1.005 Whip.
24. 1907 Ed Karger STL LHP, 15-19 (29% of team's wins), 2.04, 1.025, 121 era+, would give deadball Cards a needed LHP, no card
25. 2000 Andruw Jones, RHB, Braves, CF 1(-3)e2 .303 36 104 .366 .541 .907 21 SBs. Career highs in HITS, BA, OBP, TB, PA and 2nd career highs for SLG, OPS & OPS+. Gold Glove winner. A true 5 tool player. In game injury only.
While the current 2005 Jones has more power and slightly higher OPS, the 2000 card is more usable, as it has a far higher BA and higher OBP, which will keep the line moving and the rallies alive more than the 2005 all or nothing card.
26. 1944 Dick Wakefield bats L DET, LF/RF .355 .464 .576 Missed 1st half due to military
27. 1970 Ken Henderson, Giants, Bats-S BAL-2L CF/LF/RF-2(-2)e12 .294 17 88 .394 .460 .854 Career highs in R, 2B, BA, BB, OBP, SB & OPS. Near career high in H, HR, RBI, SLG & OPS+. Expansion Giants need help in CF. Has just one lousy other card. https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/735212/1670/1/70 ( extremely valuable switch hitting outfielder who is a 2(-2) at all three outfield positions).
28. 1993 Gregg Jefferies, S, 1B StL., .342/.408/.485, Nice switch hitting small ball option for the EXP Cards
https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/3784/1690/1/90
29. 2018 Trea Turner. SS. WAS. 271/344/416. 43 SBs. Bulletproof. https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/92675/2018/1/2018
30. 1954 Don Mueller, RF, New York Giants. Played RF with Willie in CF for 7 seasons. 342/363/444, Led the League in Hits. 12 year veteran who could use a better card.
31. 1925 Firpo Marberry, RP, WAS, Old Senator star was taken away from us as an RP a few ATGs back (changed to a SP/RP), we can add him back as a much-needed RP for Prewar Senators. Led league in Games, Games Finished and Saves.
32. 2021 Matt Olson, 1b, OAK. Freddie Freeman's replacement in ATL had a great final season in Oakland. 39 HR, 271/371/540. https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/93028/2021/1/2021
33. 1957 Bob Boyd, 1b, BAL, Another player who used up his best seasons in the Negro Leagues, but put up some nice numbers when he came to the Orioles. Nicknamed "Rope" for his ubiquitous line drives. 318/388/408

17. 1978 Ross Grimsley, LHSP, Expos 20-11 3.05 1.156 2L Career bests in W, W-L%, H9, HR9, ERA+.

24. 1907 Ed Karger STL LHP, 15-19 (29% of team's wins), 2.04, 1.025, 121 era+, would give deadball Cards a needed LHP, no card

While the current 2005 Jones has more power and slightly higher OPS, the 2000 card is more usable, as it has a far higher BA and higher OBP, which will keep the line moving and the rallies alive more than the 2005 all or nothing card.

1. 2021 Brandon Lowe TB 2b left-handed hitting second basemen with 39 HRs.

5. 1882 Joe Start PRO 1B.

40. 2007 Jorge Posada. 20 hr, .338/.425/.543. This was Posada's best offensive year, and it would be only the second card for a legendary member of the Yankees' "Core Four." Posada played in this quartet over almost two decades alongside Yankee teammates and fellow legends Derek Jeter, Mo Rivera and Andy Pettite.
