We already have Chance and Grba from the team, but it would give us a passle of non* sp/rp (Bo Belinsky, Don Lee, Ken McBride, Ted Bowsfield) and some pretty nice rp only guys (Tom Morgan and Art Fowler) and a nice Leon Wagner and Lee Thomas card and a not so shabby Billy Moran (2b -- finished 13th in MVP voting) and Albie Pearson (5'5", 140 lbs!), not to mention Steve Bilko, Jim Fregosi and Eddie Yost. The '62 team, their second year of existence, finished with 86 wins (their best until 1978) and finished in third place, only ten games behind the almost mythical Yanks.

I'm much more in favour of this add or the Astros suggestion by Druid than I am over adding Marlins, Rockies or D-Backs. These teams have paid their dues and deserve better representation in ATG.

If we're gonna do Angels , why not their championship season?

IMO - it should definitely be Ari, Col, or Fla..

Cards per team in ATG now

Ari - 19 cards/ 16 players
Col - 12 cards/ 11 players
Fla - 15 cards/ 14 players

Angels - 89 cards/ 76 players
Astros - 84 cards/ 54 players

I would have no problem with that. It's just that the Angels of the 60s seem particularly underrepresented (only 9 cards -- of which there are 2 Chances and 2 Fregosis). Though the 60s Angels may not have won it all, they were not necessarily that bad (actually quite good in certain years) and would be a good source of lower cap cards.

100% agreed. The Rockies and Marlins have been around for 25 years and have almost no cards.

I also agree that these team should be "helped" first.

Rosie, I’ll just reiterate that as a vehicle for franchise theme leagues, and especially themes based on great teams (single season) the ATG set is short in two areas, the expansion teams and the last 30 years in general. The Braves of the 90’s, late 90’s Yankees teams and the Giants post 2000 come to mind as “great” teams which don’t have any single season fully carded. Plus, Red Sox and Cubs teams which more recently won the WS and broke long droughts. Having more of these in the set would add in those low $ players needed to make our themed leagues work well. The biggest shame here, is that we are only able to add one great team per year. Very SAD!

I'm on board with a Marlins team. Vastly unrepresented for having 2 World Series rings in the last 25 years.

I feel the pain, many worthy teams underrepresented. I think as we identified previously the Marlins, Rockies and D'backs are franchises that can't even field a squad and therefore have our attention at the moment.

I'll start the poll so we can all vote on which one we add in 18.3

Thanks for the input!
