Agree with that suggestion and would eliminate the extra week before starting the 80s so only adding one week to the regular season to include 2000s

I would love to see us use all 5 decades as the prelims and no semi's, but am concerned that 12 finals teams is too few if we have 200+ entrants. Would it be too radical to have the finals round be a 24 team league? In that way we fix the 2 months dragging on of the semi's problem, and get the top 10% of participants into the finals. I am worried though that my 24 team finals proposal will be considered blasphemy by the Mystery Tournament Elite Illuminati's.

We are trying to put this to the test for the 2000s. If we get 7 more people to sign up, we will start a 24 team 2000s keeper league. Because the player pool in the 2000s is so large, the 24 team format may be better than the 12 team format in the 2000s. Sign up for the keeper league is on the 60s, 70s ... message board. If the league runs it will provide good data to consider a 24 team 2000s league in future Tournaments.

Ahoy,

I haven't done the math but if I have any chance of getting to the 24 team playoff I have to win the 80''s finals and win the last 24 games in the 90's and take the finals there. I still think I fall short.
