Icterus Galbuli has been eliminated in the semi-finals and now has to cheer against the challengers trying to take his spot. He does own the tie-breaker on Rjnewman, so he just needs daveaq31 to not make the finals in his series, or not have both sphillipp8 and Moodywoody win their championship.

Friday night will see a couple key Game 7s. daveaq31 won to even the series at 3-3; a win in Game 7 clinches while a loss maintains him, for now, as the 12th seed. 3-time champ Moodywoody closed out his series in Game 6 and will clinch a spot in the finals with 4 wins in the upcoming World Series. The only other player looking to climb into the final 12, sphilipp, saw his Gold Eagles score 13 runs in Game 6, which wasn't quite enough, losing 14-13 in classic 90s style. They need to win tomorrow or be eliminated, then win the world series to qualify for the finals. Meanwhile, Icterus Galbuli can clinch with a loss by either daveaq or sphilipp, and Rjnewman would clinch with losses by both daveaq and sphilipp.

daveaq31 won his Game 7 to clinch a spot in the final 12. sphilipp8 lost his Game 7 and has been eliminated. That clinches a spot in the top 12 for Icterus Galbuli.

So 11 of the 12 spots in the finals have been secured. There is just one spot up for grabs. If Moodywoody wins his 90's championship against killermarc, the spot is his. If killermarc can knock off the 3-time champ, Rjnewman takes the final spot in the top 12.

I really like strat and the mystery tournament is my favorite, especially if I'm lucky enough to make the finals. Here's a couple measures of the competition. The 12 managers in the finals have the following winning percentages from high to low: .568, .553, .552, .539, .535, .535, .534, .532, .532, .527, .512, and .506. Then I calculated the percentage of championship wins in the Mystery games (the average should be 1/12 or 0.083): .28, .27, .25, .24, .19, .18, .17, .16, .14, .14, .14, .13, and .10.

killermarc got a split on the road against Moodywoody last night. But he plays in the same stadium as Moodywoody, so not much of a home field advantage for games 3 and 4 tonight.
