"Emergency" starter doesn't throw a single pitch

One of my 5 starters on a 2020 actual team was injured so HAL penciled in a long reliever (Norris), and then pulled him before he'd thrown a single pitch in the bottom of the first, which certainly stretched my bullpen the rest of the game. Any ideas why - simply a "black-box mystery"? Here's the game:

Yep, that happens a lot. I'm guessing it's not supposed to, but... yeah. Strat and their magical mystery box!

This happens a lot in last two seasons after Strat changed the rules regarding starting pitching endurance---never happened before then--if your RP was scheduled, he was the same as a 5 inning SP--now I see this happen a lot--it is an unfixed glitch since the 4 inning SP's came into the game--and yes it screws the bullpen all to hell--at the very least the scheduled RP should be a 4 inning SP equivalent.

Will it ever get fixed??? I'm beginning to wonder.
