Two catchers on roster; injury to backup catcher who DH's

PostMon Jan 13, 2020 3:02 pm

Scenario: Backup catcher DH's (or plays other position besides catcher); gets injured for 15 games

Is the healthy primary catcher susceptible to injury during the one game only (the game in which the backup is injured) or 15 games?

Should be for only the one game.

(Wouldn't it be nice if someone from SOM would confirm questions like these on the forums?)

If I understand the scenario, from the original question. I did this some time back, so this is if memory serves. :) For the game the catcher was injured, HAL placed another player (other than the backup who was playing DH for me), to catch the remainder of the game. The next game the backup caught, and a player I had as the backup DH filled that role.
