League option where multiple teams can be owned by 1 person

SOM gives league organizers the right to permit one player to own more than one team in the league. When that option is available, is it understood that owner can trade with himself to create a super team? Just curious to hear stories about when that option is used. It does not look too popular on the league directory but might be a fun option.

I vaguely recall that once upon a time a manger purchased all 12 teams in a league. One of which finished 162-0.
So he won 4 credits with an outlay of many $'s. Anyone else remember that?

The option isn't used these days as far as I know.

The only time I have seen it used is theme leagues where owners own a real team (like the '86 Mets or something) so there is no trading in the league. I would be wary of entering a league where multiple teams are owned by one guy. It should be understood that the owner couldn't trade with himself but no rules as far as I know.
