Injury on Ground Ball

PostSat Apr 16, 2016 7:02 pm

Ozzie Smith gets injured on a GB with men on 2nd and 3rd and 0 outs.
Smith is out and Runner on 3rd scores and runner on 2nd advances to 3rd.
Is his injury a gb B+injury, gb B+ +injury, or a gb A+ +injury?
I assume a gb A+ +injury would have resulted in a DP? or, do DP's only occur with a man on 1st?

A gb A+ injury would not have resulted in a double play because no runner was on first. The fact that both runners advanced does not allow us to ascertain whether it was a gb A+ injury or gb B+ injury. It does allow us to know that the ground ball was to the second baseman, assuming the injury question is not about whether it was a gb C injury.
