Pinch hitter vs. RHP

I specifically assigned LHB Mickey Morandini to be my pinch hitter vs RHP but Mark Sweeney was called instead. Morandini's even a 2B. Is this a case where the setting is not as strict as anticipated?

I believe the setting only affects late inning, close situations. Since there was a 6-run difference, HAL "saved" your named pinch hitter.

That makes sense. I didn't even notice what the score was at the time.
