Hey guys,
As you probably have seen, 6-team leagues were added to the site. The full details of these leagues are below:
All 6 teams play in one division
No playoffs- 1 credit is awarded to the regular season champion
In the event of a tie between teams with the best record, the champion is determined by the following:
The tiebreakers for a 2-way tie in a 6-team league are, in order:
- Head-to-head record
- Run differential
- Coin flip
The tiebreakers for a 3-way tie or more in a 6-team league are, in order:
- Run differential
- Coin flip
On to the tournaments. Sign-ups continue for the 2014 Barnstormers Tournament. Already 126 people have entered but there is still room! If you would like to join you can sign-up here.
The official tournament page is located here. Remember, in addition to the standard league prizes you could win additional credits by winning your ballpark grouping. The champion and runner-up of the tournament also win tickets to their favorite ballpark! Join now to have your chance to win!
The 2013 Barnstormers Tournament is currently in the finals league. You can follow the league here. While no teams have officially clinched a playoff spot, BruceF's "Tomsk Stephanos" are 84-51 and currently have an 18 game lead in their division. The other two divisions are much closer but so far Outta Leftfield's "North American Mustangs7s" lead the East by 4 games and rburgh's "Neptune Zombies" lead the Central by 3 games. The wild card race is the closest race with 5 teams within 3 games of the leader. Anything can happen with still 35 games remaining.
