I hope you all received the letter from Hal Richman on Tuesday. If not you can view it from this link.
In it, Hal introduced a couple of new features that are being worked on to add to the site. The first of which is Division Randomization. We hope to have this launched in the next two or three weeks. It will be an optional feature for new leagues where, if chosen, divisions will no longer be assigned by the order you enter the league. Although it is pretty much self-explanatory I will be able to go into more detail about it and how to use it when it is released. The other new features Hal had talked about are the Live Draft module and mobile apps. Both of these are still far away from being released at this point but they are being worked on and will be significant additions to the game when they are added.
Of course, manager ratings are still in the process of being restored. The 2003 old teams will be restored to the website in the next few days. After that four more seasons remain: 2004-2006 and 1969. Once that is completed the ratings themselves can be added to the website.
A couple of additional notes today. First the Baseball Online site will be taken down overnight for database cleanup. Games will still run tonight however starting around 2am ET the site will be off. It will be back up around 6am ET tomorrow morning. A note is on all game pages to let everyone know. Second, an error was discovered regarding the displayed card image of an ATG VII player, Bill Sherdel (1919). This has now been corrected. You can view the corrected card here.
Sign-ups are underway for the 2013 Barnstormers ATG Tournament! You can learn more about the 2013 Barnstormers tour at the following link: http://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/tournament/16. To sign-up you can e-mail the commissioner of the Tournament at moose@sirmightymoose.com or by following this link. The tournament is scheduled to begin in the next few weeks so make sure to sign up ASAP!
