ATG9 runner is out

I have had a number of games where a runner is out advancing when the batter has gotten a hit. It registers the out, but I don't see any explination as to why the runner was thrown out and at what base. Can I get a better explaination of the play.

Example: Ty Cobb gets a single. Next batter, Lou Gherig hits a double. But Ty Cobb doesn't register a run, he disappears and an out is registered. Yet, I put Team management preferences for base running as Conservative or normal.

Cobb is gunned down at home. He couldn't be thrown out at third or the batter would not get credit for a double.
