Now that the 1969 season set is being released the online game should be too

I agree. 1969 was my favorite season. I still have the original card set for that year.

Dittos to that suggestion. I have suggested in the past a rotation of the individual seasons, and that when seasons are re-released for the Windows game, such as the 1969 and 1953 seasons are this year, that the Online game should have these seasons also.

Personally, I'd rather choose between the 1953 and 1969 seasons as opposed to the 1986 and 1999 seasons.

I'd love to play 1953! I still would love to see 1971 or 1972, the first years I formed a keeper league!

I'm still holding out for a 1975-78 Disco-themed league. I was playing in Grover, Cookie Monster, and Big Bird "keeper leagues" in 71-72.

Has Stratomatic ever responded about reinstating 1969?

I imagine SOM would want to create new leagues that would also interest and attract younger players. I'm 46, and I have no clue who most of the 1969 players are and have little interest in playing such a league. I could only imagine the interest--or lack thereof--in actual younger players 35 and under. I would imagine a 2000's mystery league or a late 70's league--which also might be too "old"--would be of more interest to SOM to create, and a greater priority for them.

There's nothing wrong with hoping, though.

Yeah an online SOM game that included players from even before 1969 (ATG anyone?) would never work for that very reason either.

I have been a HUGE proponent of getting the 1969 game back. I've brought it up multiple times in multiple threads. and RJ, I've NEVER gotten a response from SOM about their intentions regarding this.

so, still up in the air I guess. Been 4 years-ish and still waiting on it among other things.
