Platoon Settings

PostSat Nov 02, 2013 6:08 pm

Add and option for a pair of players at any position, and a check box for "priority".

Example:
Select J Alou and Covington at DH.
Set Covington as priority.

Any time Alou is set to bat against a righty pitcher, he gets pulled for Covington.

With this, you take your lumps with Covington if a lefty pitcher enters the game, so it's not perfect. It does however, allow one correct pinch hit move at DH, which is one more than I see in most of my games.

I often use this same platoon, and Alou is rarely lifted for a pinch hitter.

Well, this brings up a good point about subs in general. Hal isnt' very good at it. I really don't understand when "avoid LHP" gets used. It can be the bottom of the 9th and Hal will just leave a guy in there against the 'wrong' side.

Needs a LOT of work if you ask me.

For Example, Hal just LOVES to put in two players when he pinch hits for one.

This move makes NO sense at all:

Why did Mcdonald come in for pennington? Only because Viciedo PH for Pierre! No other reason.
