What's with these pitcher settings

PostMon Nov 19, 2012 8:18 am

Two nights in a row, HAL has let my starting pitcher go way over 150 almost 200 pitches and go down to F0 before relief comes in (one time not at all) and both games were lost because of it. What gives?

The obvious question is what are your pitcher settings? Do you have a "Don't relieve before Fn" set for either starter? Do you have slow hook checked? Under Team Settings, do you have your relief set at Aggressive, Normal, or Conservative?

Also, I'm sure you realize neither pitcher actually pitched at F0; the F rating given is what they reach after the play.

On the Whitesox/Pierce team - no settings whatsoever; maximize and aggressive on closer and relief usage. So, somebody should have been coming in, even if it was the batboy.

On the Dodgers/Newcombe team - Newcombe is set to F8, normal on both closer and relief usage.
