I count 15 trades in the past few years alone, many of them with the perennial king of the league sending his castoffs to Tim in exchange for highly valuable picks. Tim meanwhile has a sub .400 winning percentage after 12 seasons in the league.
In this current deal JF sends 2 former prospects of rapidly declining promise for the right to choose the brightest rising star. Hancock is barely in the Top 100 now, and Wright projects to be a 4th or 5th starter. Good for JF; not good for Tim.
I know we’re all grown ups and I hate to complain. But if anything it creates a perverse incentive for others to pursue lopsided deals with Tim. It taints this league for me to be honest.
