Pesos league chat/trade discussion

Cumulative records are from the PREVIOUS YEAR, not since the existence of the league. If that is the case, then it should be clarified in the rules by the commish. Obviously its not clear currently and I disagree with the divisional assignments based on this.

There I pointed it out to you.

Last year, Season 1, used the records of the previous year cumulative record, as Ghost, Fredpaii, Edub and MBW has the 4 best records and were all in 1 division.

The division assignments are incorrect for this year and need to be updated.

It isn't clear in the rules. Fred set the divisions last year so it is my first time doing it. If we did it the way you are saying last year, then I will correct the divisions accordingly.

The draft is complete and we are ready to load divisions. The name of the league is Pesos de beisbol Season1 2018

Really don't want to beat a dead horse.......but I just feel the need to understand the division alignments.

Below are last year's records. Using either list, the divisional assignments doesn't seem to make sense to me. Could you let me know how the division assignments were derived off one of the 2 lists below? I wasn't sure if you were using the combined records or just season 2 from last year.

No, I figured it out. You had used the combined records. I got mixed up. All is good.

Mark, you're wrong. The initial divisional assignments were for the very first year when there was nothing else (no past records) to base them on. But since we now have past records we follow those. so Ghost, Me, Mr BaseballWorld, and viper44 are in the same division this year. What you have on the "Combined" page is correct. UNLESS we want to take a vote to change the rules on this...

Commish - READ THE RULES ABOUT DIVISIONAL ASSIGNMENTS. THE ASSIGNMENTS ARE INCORRECT AS STATED ABOVE.

General rules:
1) There will be 2 seasons played each year; Season 1 will begin after the Initial spring free agent draft - Season 2 will begin in prior to or just after July.
2) Divisional assignments will change each season. The format is this: a) initial divisional assignments will follow the general 1-4-7-10 East, 2-5-8-11 Central, and 3-6-9-12 West.
3) Cumulative team records will determine the divisional assignments for Season 1 of each new year.
4) Divisional assignments for season 2 each year will be determined by the final won/loss records of the previous season.

Dave is exactly right. #2 only applied to our initial season before we had any past records obviously.
