Padres sign stud hitter in his prime...NO April Fool's!!! I love this. But they have to add at least two quality starting pitchers somehow if they want to even think about a wild card. Could Harper be the next Padres FA signing? That would be weird. Twilight Zone material. But very welcomed.

I'm wondering if you have a preference for when to start the Spring Draft.

When would you like to conduct our FA draft this year? We can delay it if you wish (get enough votes for that) or start early.

So here's the options...

1. Start early. Shortly after cards come out like usual.

2-A. Wait two weeks.

2-B. Wait four weeks.

2-C. Wait until June.

It did occur to me that by the time all the votes are in it could take a week or so. I don't see any big deal about that however. And if #1 option gets six or more votes then we'll start right away. If five or fewer then we'll do whichever #2 option gets the most votes.

I now drive long haul. I don't have much time to pick anything for around 4 to 6 hours while I drive. My only wish is that this league doesn't draft during my other leagues. That said I think you (Fred) just took over this League so I vote yes to your vote. I have the first pick and will select it as soon as you start the Draft.
