I think you can set this correctly for where you live by going to :

User Control Panel -> Board Preferences -> Edit Global Settings

Yes, we can each individually change that setting. Unfortunately, unless all of our managers make that change, there will still be confusion.

What I recommend is that all those who are so inclined can change their own settings -- however, the draft clock will still be discussed in terms of CDT, so we do not cause unnecessary chaos along the way.

To keep things simple, all years referenced in this league will be in terms of the season being played. Right now, for example, we just finished the FA draft for the 2011 season's card set and are now ding the 2011 season prospect draft.

Yes, this is a change from how KD wrote down the dates, but it's necessary to keep me from going crazy.

I'm commish in a lot of retro keeper leagues, where we play seasons one after another. For example, in one league, we are just finishing our retro cycle, having played 2001-2011 in the past 3 years. The only way to keep things straight in those leagues is to reference the season being played.
