emart wrote:The second issue to resolve is the draft order. The constitution spells out that the player draft order will be established by overall winning percentage of SBDL career, worst to first.

The primary issue here is that I can't guarantee that we have all the information available for past seasons to calculate the winning percentages correctly. Second, we have a couple of new (or newer) players who have only a season or two under their belts, and I'm not sure creating a draft order using this formula (if we can) will be fair those individuals or to the entire group.

A couple of suggestions/alternatives:
a) Randomize the draft order
b) Use the last two seasons (24 & 25) and compute winning percentages based on those seasons only.

Thoughts?

I'm good with "B" as it's probably the most fair to our newer managers.

Option b season 24 and 25 and i say start the draft and pause when we pause. Some picks will keep us fresh atleast and while some may be away we just wait. I think every weekend will be someone who might have other things so we just go at a casual pace to begin.

Based on the comments here we'll use the overall winning percentage for the past two SBDL seasons, from worst to first which is customary in SBDL, for the draft order for the 14 round live draft. In figuring the percentages there was one tie, which was resolved using the combined head to head records for the two managers involved.

Here is the order:

1. Honeyman .441
2. Bunze0 .453
3. JoeOC .460
4. 13baseballs .481
5. Novie .500
6. Palanion .503
7. Tomwistar .503 (11-10 v. Palanion)
8. MrBBW .518
9. Thaibill . 522
10. Munich Man .528
11. Emart .552
12. Hackra .565

The draft will be up on Diamond Dope shortly. :D

I am setting up some proxies, so maybe I can at least have picks made in one round or two, so as not to hold things up.
