NLD 61 - The Asterisk Season

Waivers are tomorrow, maybe an email is in order to clue everyone in?

I won't be there for waivers---the way it goes...

Nah, my own boat wanted to make its way off the lift several times as the water rose. Several neighbors lost their vessels. I tried to rescue those floating bumper cars but couldn’t reach them with the swift currents.

Semper, glad that you have avoided major damage. We have friends who have left their place here to go to Cape Coral to see if their home is OK. They were not optimistic.

Sheesh, all the guys in my division are sitting there with cap room to spare. Makes is a little tougher to plan, but we'll manage. Guys gotta fill that space sooner or later!

Not sure I like how this season has started. We CRUSH in one game and then lose the close ones....

ugh, we have a +8 run dif and are 2-4. Ok, let's spread those runs around guys. OK???

We had a big X-night in game 11 vs. NLD Trouble. Eighteen "x" opportunities - nine for each team. Trouble brought my team back to earth with a sweep.

A lot of X chances in all the games--a wonder I won a game with my horrible fielding.

Speaking of horrible fielding...I'm kind of itching for a new Iron Glove league with 2021 set...last one I played in was 2019 set.

The basic rule is every fielder must be a 4 or worse in starting lineups. (doesn't apply to pitchers) --and DH doesn't have to be a 4 as Hal won't move him away from DH.

It was a fun league watching all the high scoring games every night--and it needs to be a draft league to spread the 4 fielding guys around--we ran a 12 round draft and then filled in with auto draft. The thread is below (and the resulting league) for you guys that have never played one--the tread gives you an idea of rules and how the draft goes.

The draft is fun--and there is no need to be in a hurry either. We just used a randomizer for draft order in 1st round

I would prefer guys that are familiar how a draft works--so NLD guys are perfect for this type of theme league.
(The 2019 league was run by KLX I think)

I would definitely be in & yes was me in 2019. Keyzick was original guy who I got the idea from. Been a lack of themes in general this year.
