Good title races all around. With 6 games to go, only 2 teams have been eliminated in either the Premier or AAA divisions, and 3 in AA.

Relegations are already determined, however promotions are still up for grabs!

After a CONSTANT DAILY battle between four teams at the top of our division, where none of us could ever get separation (four teams within 4 games of each other from game 129 on), the lowly Handforth Hobos rose up and beat the crap out of all my competitors in the final few series.

5-1 vs. the English Rays
2-1 vs. the Covid Warriors
3-0 vs. the Raiders

That's 10-2 against the other three contenders (1-2 against me).

Expect a fruit basket in your locker room after game 162!

Angels and Sugar Kings tied for 1st in AA, before playing each other tonight in the grand finale. Should be fun!

Another super weird thing in our division… seemingly impossible… Is that our league batting average leader at .280 is…

Joey Wendle?

He hit .265 in 2021 and is playing in a pitcher’s park.

An exciting ending for a number of teams, including my own, winning the AA title in game 162. Congrats to our other champs, too: jflatour99/Fremens in Premier and padrenurgle1 in AAA. That's the 2nd title in 3 seasons for the Fremens.

For those who don't seek out the separate league pages, highlights were as follows:

PREMIER DIVISION

97-65 jflatour99/Fremens
90-72 go4joe
90-72 unctarheel
88-74 paul j kiggins
82-80 jodynadu/Greyhounds - to AAA next season
39-123 tcochran/Stars - to AAA next season

Team results in Premier were similar to MLB, although once again, the pitching was slightly better, with team OPS of .714 (vs. .728 in MLB), and ERA/WHIP of 3.93/1.23 (vs. 4.26/1.30). 225 HR/team was the team batting highlight (vs. 200 in MLB).

Individual highlights included Matt Vierling batting .300 with 192 hits, Sal Perez slugging 65 HR, and Jacob deGrom winning both CYA and MVP with a 24-3 record.

AAA DIVISION

90-72 padrenurgle1 - to Premier next season
87-75 thisisray - to Premier next season
86-76 jmlopp/Warriors
85-77 jodynadu/Raiders
69-93 mesacat - to AA next season
69-93 ironwill1 - to AA next season

Pitching was even more dominant in AAA, with team OPS of only .695 and ERA/WHIP of 3.73/1.21. HR/team of 205 were still above the MLB average, though.

Luis Arraez won the batting title at a lowly .280, MVP Jose Siri led the league in OPS at .876, and Brandon Woodruff was the top starter, with a 17-8 record.

AA DIVISION

89-73 tcochran/Sugar Kings - to AAA next season
88-74 oldmansmith2 - to AAA next season
85-77 jflatour99/Atreides
82-80 jmlopp/Mafia
71-91 baseball cfo
71-91 Terry101

The bats were much hotter in AA, with team OPS of .743, ERA/WHIP of 4.31/1.28, and 253 HR/team.

4 qualifiers batted over .300, including Mike Trout at .323 and MVP Bryan Reynolds at .311. Ranger Suarez won the CYA with a 16-4 record.

As expected, I had one team promoted into AAA and another team relegated there. Likewise, jodynadu had a team relegated into AAA, joining a team he already had there. Thus, 2 teams are looking for new owners in season 2.

For my part, the Hollywood Stars are available. I would be happy to trade them for another rebuilding team or simply pass them on to someone who wants a winner in the '22 card set.

They will be awful again in season 2 of '21 and be relegated to AA for '22, but they should have a fine team there, with:
- Starting rotation led by Verlander, Cease, and Springs
- Bullpen led by Holmes, Almonte, Stanek, and Karinchak
- Elite batting from Carpenter and Jimenez
- Amazing hitting vs. LHP from Bogaerts, Farmer, Mendick, Santander, and H. Ramirez
- Likely the #5 pick in the '22 annual draft

First come, first served!

Some incredible highlights in those 3 leagues! I really love this original format. And with the possibility to eve trade teams, this is incredible!

Looking forward for the part 2. When are we loading again?
