TED LASSO LEAGUE 2022-2

Updated language...

Inaugural season -- the qualifying round for promotion & relegation -- is almost finished, so it's time to review the rules.

I'd like to propose 2 changes:

a) Update the roster rules to:
- There will be a minimum of 25 carded players on each team, as required to join a Strat league at the start of a season.
- Each team may carry up to 7 non-carded players, including professional, collegiate, foreign, etc. They do not need to have been signed by an MLB team.

b) Update the drop/add rule to:
Drops/adds are allowed within your own 32 players during the season, per game engine rules, with 10% penalty

I will sort the winners and losers into their proper divisions for the second season and post later today. Competition should be much more balanced, this next time around!

We will also be starting the supplemental draft shortly, so review your teams and consider if you wish to drop anybody at this point:

SUPPLEMENTAL DRAFT
1) A non-serpentine supplemental free agent draft of up to 2 rounds will be held between the first and second seasons of each card set.
2) The supplemental draft shall not exceed 36 picks. Owners may drop up to 2 players, but are not required to participate. Owners with less than a 32 man roster may use the supplemental draft to get back to a full 32 man roster under the following conditions:
...a) They have the draft picks available to do so
...b) They drop no more than 2 players
...c) It can be accomplished within the 2 round/36 pick draft window
3) Selections for carded players and non-carded players may be posted in any of the rounds.
4) Draft order for the supplemental draft after season one will be based on the final win/loss records of season one, in reverse order, worst-record first, NFL style, except that 1st round draft order for the 4 teams with the worst records will be determined by lottery.
5) Draft order for subsequent supplemental drafts will be determined in the same manner as in the annual free agent draft
6) Draft clock timing will be the same as in the initial draft and the annual free agent draft.
7) Player drops must be announced prior to the beginning of the supplementall draft.

On a related note, lakeviewdave has decided to not continue in the league, so there are 2 teams available
- 96-win Wake Forest Reds
- 34-win Wake Forest Blues

I will post the new divisions later today. If anybody would like to take over a team in a division where they would not compete with their own current team, please let me know.

Otherwise, I will post for replacement(s).
