This NLD is not like any of the other three I have played. 21 games left and the only two things to be decided are
1. Who will win the East (despite Al's comment -- anything could happen. )
2. Which West team wins the division, and which is the WC. Other races are OVER.
3. Which of our teams that are "underperforming" (nice way of saying "they suck") will change to the East next time. Haha!

Given the number of teams at a negative run diff, it seems there are a lot of teams that are "replete with stinkiosity"

Yeah, no doubt. I agree with all of the above. Not sure I've seen an NLD with so much decided with 21 games remaining. There are really only five teams vying for four spots. I mean, anything could happen, but doesn't seem likely at this point.

I recall when I lived in Maryland, near Baltimore, I always made fun of the newspaper, when they kept writing about "the Orioles still have a chance" down by 20 with 25 to go! LOL.

With that thinking, I am only down by 17, with 21 left. I could catch Toshiro!!!

We are a bit more cynical in California.

Unable to keep Stoney from gaining on us tonight, but managed to win game 3 to limit the damage to one game. Not feeling good about how things are going.

We're 9-9 head-to-head so the last six games will determine the tie breaker. He's got a 4 run lead in the differential right now.

Was really hoping to win the series in our park, but...we've lost five of the last six series while Stoney has caught fire. UGH.

No matter which team wins the East, it will just be fed to JTJ, Toshiro, or Stoney!!!, then we get to be in the same division with them.

Milleram, you know that's not how it works. It's almost certain that the team from the East will win the first round of the playoffs. That's the way it seems like it always happens....
