As an added we have had quite the discussion in the 50m league about the theory of an island hitter. So much so that I a, likely to run a league- probably in the new year- that requires 20 or 25% of a teams budget to be in one player. (A 40:or 50 million league with at least one ten million player. The island). I’m thinking all teams should have an island theme (I.e. madacascar cannibals, Hilo hulas, Long Island Seaver’s. Something island themed).

Several questions about the next league...please clarify
1)Which player set is to be used?
2) I assume that one must draft your exact team from the end of season 1 to start season 2...and I understand there will be a 20% FA penalty. If during season 1 you use that 5% FA drop/add and end the season with under $125m, can you use the spare $ to draft someone in the second league during the preseason? (or must you wait until the first games are played to make any moves)?
2a) since each team must auto-draft 10 pitchers, what modifications are permissible to get a team drafted (assuming as my team, I went with a 24 man roster with only 9 pitchers)?
3) Will the AL teams be limited to AL players and NL to NL players in the second season? - (if one was willing to take the 20% hit, could you get a NL FA for your AL team?
6)Will the divisions for the second season be selected or random?

2a. No - cannot add anyone extra in preseason that wasnt on your roster to end the last season. You must wait until after game 1 (actually after first 3 games) to make any moves. If you do drop anyone, its 20% hit.
2b. Will need to get answer from our 5 man committee, its a good question that will impact other teams.
3. You will be limited to your league for players - AL can only use AL and NL can only use NL players.
4. As far as I know divisions will be random. But Anthony Pisano will be commish of Finals and he could decide to have it arranged a certain way.

If you need to “tweak” your draft card to make it legal, fine but must fix in preseason else you’ll force me to do it for you.

What matters most is that you carry your EXACT team into the season, not so much preseason

They just added 50 new cards. Will these be included in the Finals league?

I thought the idea was to play the same roster. Therefore I would assume that while the cards will be included in the set, that rosters should remain the same as they were in the separate leagues. But you know that assume word can be really tricky.
