I think picking early or late is better than in the middle. Early gets the 'best' franchises, late you can see what is open on the wire.

Sorry if I have asked this before, but I want to make sure I understand.

In season one, if a team is NOT selected and one of their players is available to another franchise, can they be put on your auto draft card?

Unless they are "dual franchised"? Example, Don Buford is listed as Bal first and then CHW. If Orioles are not picked to be a franchise, then CHW owner could take Buford and not expose him to dispersal draft, correct?

No, not for Season 1. Too much to gain for Top 16 Franchises. There would not be near as many opportunities in the Fispersal Draft. Players from 12 in selected franchises will all be in the Dispersal Draft.
