Well congrats Miler. You won 100+ games because you had a good team. I think we had a chance in this series but it wasn't to be. I was worried when we got so lucky against KLX and I think we just ran out of good rolls. We were lucky to even get to game six.
You shelled the best SP in the card set so a well deserved win. Rolling everything on your card in the third is going to help of course and Almora, who absolutely sucks v RHP and Glasnow who is very good v RHB, getting hits off of Glasnow just killed us. Babe Almora, I won't forget that for awhile.
Getting a 1-7 3b after rolling five straight hits in five rolls off of your card was the capper. That's hard to do, but you did it. Then you rolled five straight with 4 being hits on your card in the next inning (including 2 1-8 HRs) to completely end the game. Glasnow giving up 4 HRs in five hitters and 5 for the game. Hard to believe but that's what happened. The inning could have ended 3-1, but you got a 1-2 single, and then the dam broke open. Of course when you hit HRs on 2 1-8, a 1-5 and a 1-19 (almost automatic there) Oh, and the 1-7 3b (fly the rest) cost me two runs.... When you're hot you're hot.
Without all the HRs in the 4th, we had a chance. We actually got the tying run to the plate in the 9th, but Altuve and Dejong couldn't make it happen. Again, one HR and 9 LOB (to 3 LOB for Milleram) not going to get it done. Three HRs over the last 3 games. That's not going to work for my team.
Tough way to go out, Glasnow is great (literally the 4th best card overall and best SP and he ended up with a 7.45 ERA in the playoffs), didn't see it being a blowout, maybe a close game but... well, it's SOM where Glasnow can give up 5 HRs (the way to beat him is to roll on your own card well and you did.) and Almora (.381/.409/.727) can be better than Springer could ever hope to be. It's a dice game.
We're happy to make the finals and get a credit, but that's a tough way to go out. At least I feel like we lost to a very good team you won 100 games for a reason. Congrats for sure. Still, Glasnow getting shelled leaves a sour taste I must say.
