Our 3 Rd. Prospect draft will follow immediately after the FA draft.
The draft order is the same as the FA draft.
No clock in Rd. 1. 2 hr. clock thereafter.

3) Only those players without MLB experience and who have been signed by a professional baseball organization are eligible for the prospect draft.

So players from the Nippon, KBO, Dominican...... leagues are eligible.

Bob this was item 3 from Ninersphan’s (Bill’s) rules & is on our current google doc regarding prospect draft eligibility.

has this been changed now??

That 2nd sentence confuses me. I assume it is referring to players taken in MLB's Rookie draft in June. But up until the last couple of years this league always had its Rookie draft in March/April. Perhaps there is some other explanation.

Well we’ve previously always drafted before the actual MLB draft until this year. So for this particular year the second sentence conceivably wouldn’t apply here & I believe every team has already signed all their draft picks so the question is do we forgo the second sentence for this year’s prospect draft??

The 2nd sentence will be deleted. It's historical purpose (to prevent June Rookie draft players from being eligible) no longer applies since in the future we will be drafting in March.

This year, those drafted in the Rookie draft are eligible to be chosen as long as they have been signed.

We could have a bounteous Prospect Draft this year and a shallower one next year or vice-versa. Let's go with the former.
