That's not true actually. I looked back at the time stamps and kurtz did actually jump the gun. I didn't pay close enough attention when I updated the Googledoc. The way I have always run it is that you may only pick before your scheduled time if everyone before you has made their selection. That's why I waited until after 10:00 to make my Plawecki pick... I was ready to earlier, but I waited.

Since Mark registered his concern on the board before Kurtz was on the clock for his pick, I must give Mark the option of taking Ruiz if he wants.

I've been in leagues that run like you described but personally have been against it because of the risk of being unjustly overpenalized, depending on how on-the-ball the line of drafters is.

I looked back, must be getting my leagues mixed up. My error.

PAUSED - Waiting to resolve issue with the early selection of Ruiz. Hope to have resolved before 10:00 AM Eastern so we can resume as scheduled. Gentlemen. My apology for the faux pas resulting in the halt of the draft. I was under the, apparently, mistaken impression that when the previous person had made their pick it was go time. No malice of forethought was intended.

I was a bit annoyed by it yesterday, but its all good. Let's get the show back on.

Tim - I'll still root for Ruiz, even though he's on your team lol. He's a great 8th round pick. Tons of potential and he's essentially been given the 3B job with the O's after platooning last year.
