In 15 games Cruz has hit 5 homers, the guy he replaced Jose Martinez hit 4 HR in 65 games.

Congrats on a great move. I had one I wanted to make, but couldn't pull the trigger. Didn't want to jinx myself...

So, you're saying you're happy with the move??? ;)

Last day for moves right?

J, I don't blame you, you're had a heck of a first half. On pace for 108 wins! +20 at home! :o  And 22-11 in one run games. That's a season's worth right there!

??? Sounds kind of kinky. I'd certainly love to FIRE my manager!

Seriously, I never knew there was a beer named after Pliny the Elder. Now thanks to you, I do. And it sure sounds tasty, just the kind of beer I enjoy sampling. If I'm ever out in Northern California I'm going to have to look this place up.

And in 55 games for me before I got fed up and dumped him he hit only 8 HR while batting .151. His OPS vs RHP in 144 AB was .455. Good riddance!

Someone beat Greenville please. They are making the mediocre teams worse on the curved scale.

Ratings.

Some pretty big differences this time around. The biggest one is our "rookie" JFrost.

BTW, I took these numbers a couple nights ago.

Code: Select all
Team...   O...   P...   F..   P+F.   Ovrl   Div
Jeep...   8376   4506   320   4826   3550   W
KLX....   8076   4479   311   4790   3286   C
Doug...   8070   4706   151   4857   3213   E
SemperG   8034   4658   234   4892   3142   C
JoeTJet   8026   4560   325   4885   3141   E
Smokey.   8371   4783   631   5414   2957   E
Spider.   8277   4803   557   5359   2918   W
Millerm   8157   4509   783   5292   2865   W
JFrost.   7758   4713   181   4894   2864   W
Falcon.   7767   4453   568   5021   2746   C
Dale...   7909   4711   576   5287   2622   E
BigAlrc   7979   4906   604   5510   2469   C

Code: Select all
Divi   Offn   Ptch   Fld   P+F   Overall
East   8094   4690   421   5111   2983
Cent   7964   4624   429   5053   2910
West   8142   4633   460   5093   3049

As usual in the 100 mil leagues there isn't a lot of differences in ratings. Jeep is rated MUCH better than the next guy (KLX) and Falcon, Dale and Big A are at the bottom of the ratings, but the other 8 teams are really pretty close to each other.

As you can see from the division summary, all the divisions are pretty close in all the categories. Not sure I've seen that before.

Ratings would suggest the following:

East - Two way battle between Doug and JTJ with Smoke having a good shot too. Dale bringing up the rear
Central - KLX is the favorite, but don't count out Semp.
West - ratings say Jeep runs away with it with the other three tightly bunched.

Actual - East is close with the exception of Dale being better than expected. JTJ is having trouble winning a series after starting hot. Central Semp and KLX at the top but their w/l lower than expected. If you flipped Jeep and J it would be pretty close, but J is really overperforming his ratings. Of course, being +14 almost always does that.

Code: Select all
Team Ov   Ovrl   Rtg   Rec   Dif
Jeep...   3550   1   3   -2   W
KLX....   3286   3   6   -3   C
Doug...   3213   4   5   -1   E
SemperG   3142   4   5   -1   C
JoeTJet   3141   4   4   0   E
Smokey.   2957   6   5   1   E
Spider.   2918   6   5   1   W
Millerm   2865   6   6   0   W
JFrost.   2864   6   1   5   W
Falcon.   2746   7   7   0   C
Dale...   2622   8   5   3   E
BigAlrc   2469   10   10   0   C

These are relatively close with the exception of J overperforming his rating. KLX is a little low and Dale a little high.

Code: Select all
Team Of   O   Rtg   Run   Dif
Jeep...   8376   3   3   0
Smokey.   8371   3   4   -1
Spider.   8277   4   3   1
Millerm   8157   5   3   2
KLX....   8076   6   8   -2
Doug...   8070   6   3   3
SemperG   8034   6   4   2
JoeTJet   8026   6   4   2
BigAlrc   7979   7   8   -1
Dale...   7909   8   5   3
Falcon.   7767   10   9   1
JFrost.   7758   10   5   5

The runs scored across the league are really close so it makes it hard to compare. That said, J has the worst rated O in the league, but is doing much better than that. Dale and Doug are a little high.

Code: Select all
Team PF   P+F   Rtg   Run   Dif
KLX....   4790   4   6   -2
Jeep...   4826   4   4   0
Doug...   4857   4   7   -3
JoeTJet   4885   4   4   0
SemperG   4892   4   5   -1
JFrost.   4894   4   1   3
Falcon.   5021   6   6   0
Dale...   5287   9   6   3
Millerm   5292   9   5   4
Spider.   5359   10   10   0
Smokey.   5414   11   6   5
BigAlrc   5510   12   11   1

Miller and smoke are a lot higher. Dale and J a good amount higher and Doug is a bit low.

Park comparison. If you are better in a park than the other team you get +1, if worse -1. If close, 0
Code: Select all
Team…   Adv
jeep   22
Doug   15
JTJ   14
klx   9
miller   6
smokey   -1
jfrost   -2
semper   -3
spider   -6
falcon   -16
dale   -18
big a   -20

Jeep again is at the top. Doug and JT are close to each other with KLX and Miller also having good park differenitals.

Smoke, J and Semp are basically balanced with the rest being below average or worse.
