So Jeep, why the move?
As for us, I must have picked the wrong park. We're only +1 at home and much better on the road. Weird.
Thought it was obvious. I need bop in Nationals Park, and Martinez is not a HR Hitter. Cruz is a big HR hitter. Last night for instance Cruz goes deep in every game. Martinez had 4 HRs for the entire season.

Couldn't agree more.
With a decent + run differential and and expected 38-31 record, I was 31-38--but I didn't see it improving--I'm generally not prone to making moves for no good reason, but sometimes you just have to make a move--even if it ain't logical.

Ah, I see. Might be obvious, but it's always good to get confirmation.
Game 81, 8th inning, down 4-2, newly acquired DH Nelson Cruz hammers a Grand Slam out of the park to make a winner of Sale, and spur the Accents to a sweep of the Braumeisters.
In 15 games Cruz has hit 5 homers, the guy he replaced Jose Martinez hit 4 HR in 65 games.
