As I recall from the ‘70s the Cubs often played as though they were loaded!!

The league is now full. The season will start on Monday March 25th. You can start making adjustments to your team starting at 11:00 PM (ET)tonight.

Just a reminder, trades are allowed--players assigned to your team do not have to have had any connection to the other team in order to be traded.

The consensus of the league was to use this idea with the 60s player pool. Please advise if you are interested in participating. Sign up sheet is at the bottom of this message.

The team draft order will depend on the number of owners who return. If all return, the order will be based
results in the 70s league. I have received inquiries from others expressing an interest in participating in this idea as a replacement owner.

General rules:
Salary cap: $140 million
Frenzy--no waivers since your team is already defined
There will be NO DH--pitchers will bat
The only players eligible will be those assigned to the team you draft. This is subject to a new feature which will allow owners of teams 5-12 with an additional player from the pool of teams unlikely to be selected based on review of rosters. There will be a dollar limit--most likely $4 million for teams in the west and $3 million for teams in the central. (Amounts subject to change.)The first 4 teams selected--the east--will not participate in the dispersal draft. The goal is to equalize
and improve the competitive nature of the league.
Salary Cap: $140 million--
Waivers or Frenzy: Frenzy since you will control all players on the team you select.
Team name: Please use the name of the team you select--the Athletics will be from Kansas City and the Braves, Milwaukee.
Ballpark: Please select the ballpark of the team you choose
Trades: Allowed--no restrictions--you control the players so feel free to trade to improve your team.
Roster size: No restrictions beyond normal Strat rules

Players not listed on the roster of the 12 teams selected are not eligible for this league. The only players available to you are the players assigned to the team you select.
