Greetings, gentlemen. Please read this carefully and let me know if there is anything missing or if I've caused confusion.

Please welcome andycummings, he will be taking JoeyC's place in the group.

For the next theme we will try a 'last name' alphabet live draft theme. This will be a 2-round serpentine live draft, with each manager selecting one letter or letter group each round. Players with last names corresponding to your selected letters will be your exclusive property for the season.

There will be a handful of letters that will not be selected, and players from those letters will be free agents at waivers. However, from waivers on you may only have 3 free agents on your team at any time.

This will be a 200m league, DH, and standard waivers. You may use any ballpark. Trades are allowed and encouraged.

Draft order will be determined by randomizer results, using these number assignments:

Some explanation is probably needed regarding the choice to combine certain letters and not others. Gamiam and I looked at this since he had just run an alphabet league, and we both did some research on the player pool for each letter. As it turns out, as those who have played alphabet leagues know, the letters M, S, and B offer significantly more top-tier players than the other letters. I combined letters H, G, and C with lesser letters to make sure the latter first round picks weren't at a huge disadvantage when compared to teams with M, S and B.

As for the rest, I left them as individual letters so there would be a few left for free agents following the draft.

If anyone sees an imbalance or finds an angle that makes this unfair or clumsy in some way, please speak up so we can make adjustments before we get rolling. I'm sure I missed something along the way.
