That's true. But during the season or just after our FA draft there has to be immediate cuts after trades. So I want to keep that habit up even in times when we are leading to our draft (like now). So everyone please keep cutting extra players when you go over 40 regardless of time of year. I'll pick the cuts from Tim and Terry's list in this case but I'd prefer the people making the trades to do this from here on out.

I have to agree with Dave. The precedent was established by you in making our DROPS. I understand during the Draft dropping more players. We"re not in the Draft. Why can't I just lose 2 Picks or 3 since I gained another FA Pick in my Trade.
That's a lot easier. Makes more sense.

I hope this answers your question, Tim....The FA Drops that we're doing now are UNOFFICIAL until the deadline is reached the Sunday night before the draft begins.

Tim - not a big deal, just take 2 players from your drop list and post here as you are gaining a net 2 players, so your dropping 2 players now instead of when drops are due. Terry can do 1 player or just someone else if needed.

I get what Fred is saying, and making drops unofficial now makes sense as things could change before drops are due. Easier for bookkeeping purposes I would think as trade was done while we technically have a maximum 40 man rosters until drops are due.

RULE Change:

Guys, I made an amendment to our FA draft pick trading allowance. I first had it at 8th round pick maximum. Now that we've made 15 rounds of FA picks a possibility I need to update that to the 13th round FA pick. So we may trade anything up to our 13th round FA pick as long as we have a 14th round pick to draft in the same draft. Basically put, we need to cover for the trading of that 13th round pick - or any pick traded in a draft.

If you don't like this Rule change or would like it changed please say something here and we'll discuss.
