LA-Z-BOY’S LEAGUE LXIX -(69) Five (5) Day Draft FORMAT

Reliever Rule This Season :
With the Super Reliever Question being discussed on ATG board, I have decided to implement a 225 inning regular season cap for all relief pitchers be it R5. R3, or R1 whoever. Major League Record is 208 so the 225 mark is a fair cap.
Manager(s) wishing to employ this strategy will be required to drop his relief pitcher or render him useless if the 225 inning cap is exceeded during the season.

All dates will be tentative until we have twelve (12) managers committed
We will draft Ten (10) players and One (1) Stadium

I'm going to ask that everyone have their team purchased and available for league entry no later than Tuesday 9/11/2018.

Here's how we'll proceed (Tentatively, depending on getting Two New Managers)
Tuesday 9/4/2018 : Official start of draft
Wednesday -- Monday (9/5/18 thru 9/10/18) : Draft continues
Monday Evening (9/10/18) Draft should be Complete
Monday Evening / Tuesday until 8PM EST League should be completely loaded
Tuesday Evening (9/11/18) 11:00 PM EST Frenzy

Please read these rules, if necessary clock will be used as follows 6 hours (Rounds 1-2), 3 hours (Rounds 3-11) we have to try to avoid and minimize long delays without a pick because proxies aren't used. It's just not fair to the managers that make their picks on-time or have proxies set if they aren't going to be around. While diamonddope has had its problems using diamonddope with the ability to proxy is better than doing the draft on ILC. diamonddope is currently working well. The diamonddope system is easy to use and if there is a question please ask. We will use the diamonddope site if I can get everyone registered (if new players join). Should there be any problems, we'll revert back to our old drafting method, here on ILC. Using ILC is a last resort. Picking new cards not in the diamonddope draft pool will require a pick of a little used .500 players, Ex. You want to draft a SS(new Card), please use a little used .500 SS to hold spot, A Pitcher(New Card) use a .500 Pitcher Card, etc.

We will use these revised LA-Z-BOY Rules with the draft lasting a eight day period . The drafting clock could be a 6 hour clock for rounds 1 & 2 ,with a three hour for the remaining rounds, (3-10) this is to accommodate the varied work schedules we have but allows for the draft to move on after 6 or 3 hours as the draft moves into the later rounds. Everyone will be notified if clock is implemented. Guys please remember the draft has its ebbs and flows and sometimes due to work schedules and computer availability there are longer breaks between picks than everyone might like. With the sliding clock proxies will have to be used but should lead to a more predictable number of picks per day and also limit the number of days needed to draft.

League will use the ATG VIII (8) Historical Version of SOM Game, Advanced, 100Mil , NO D/H, Frenzy, and 5% drop rule.

If Possible, We will start drafting rounds (assuming 12 managers in league) Officially on Tuesday 9/4/2018 on diamonddope, draft will float during the preceding days. Our Frenzy will be Tuesday 9/11/2018 We will use the randomizer to determine draft order. Randomizer spots will be the reverse of finish for Season 68

Your Availability will be required (if you have not loaded your team previously) on the Friday frenzy evening. (About a 1 to 1.5 Hour Commitment) If you are unable to make this commitment please do not join this league. Additional note team loading will start immediately after the end of the player draft on diamonddope (as late as Thursday 6/28/2018) but Frenzy will be Tuesday 9/11/2018 so all can participate.

League Opening Day should be Monday 9/17/2018.

League Draft will consist of up to 10 diamonddope player draft rounds and one stadium, again to be determine by flow of the draft (may be shorten from 10 players). No matter what player and stadium draft will be concluded no later than Monday evening 9/10/2018. We will finish to a completed round.

Stadiums will be UNIQUE, diamonddope has been updated so we can make stadium pick there on a first come, first served basis beginning with the start of Draft Round 6. (Revised by vote )

ALL TEAMS must be entered in the league by no later than Tuesday, 7:00 PM EST, 9/11/2018, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!, with Frenzy to follow (11:05 PM ET.).

All drafted players are to be put on the BOTTOM OF YOUR DRAFT LIST.
Make Sure you are not drafting other Managers players, if by chance you end up with another manager's player you will be required to trade that player to the manager he belongs. We WILL NOT JUST RELEASE THE PLAYER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Division Assignments will be by Strat's Randomizer option, this will eliminate the problem of having to wait on any one particular team, except of course if it's the 12th team that will close out the League. I know it was nice to know your division opponent when drafting but loading the league has been a slow cumbersome event that can be streamlined using SOM division randomizer.

I know every possible situations is not covered in the rules but any decisions that have to be made will be made as fairly as possible.

Again We will use the diamonddope draft site, this the best option available for the way LA-Z-BOY drafts. Keeping the draft fair for all work schedules. Key is using proxies

Lastly everyone is to have fun and may we have another fun filled season of LA-Z-BOY Baseball

Dan, You'd also have to send password and login for diamond dope or no one will be able to post your picks, best thing is setup two or three proxy picks, Your first choice, your second choice marked with a "yes" so if you get your first choice that pick is dropped, Your third choice marked with "yes" so it will be dropped if you get one of your first two choices or will be left if You have been weaseled out of Your first two picks. We do have our share of weasels.

Remember to hit "On" button for proxies and the "Save" button
