Yes my offense awoke last night putting '36' runs on the board. I hope that is a precursor of things to come. Haven't mentioned it, but multiple injuries (at the same time) has killed me. I'm prepared for Pedroia and Martizez to be out at the same time, but HAL in HAL style threw in more than two at one time.

Wow, THAT'LL skew your run dif for sure!

Jeep, I hear ya, I hate when you get a bunch of injuries at the same time. Without a minor league and DL, there's just nothing you can do sometimes. :(

Yeesh, Lost Rizzo for the third time (7 total games) tonight, can't keep that guy on the field. Good thing he's got a 3 game max!

Also, what's the deal with Clayton Richard, he completely BLOWS v RHB but we can't hit him? The guy is so overperforming presently that's it's ridiculous. Only a .297 OB v RHB? Uh, no. Good to know that we're not the only team he's shutting down I guess. :?

My Guy, Despaigne, who's just about as bad as Richard, but without the HRs is getting hit to the tune of .341 by LHP with a 1.7 whip while facing more RHB than LH. Small sample size I know, but Richard is a hell of a bargain so far.

Richard is not bad, just undervalued!

No words on the blockbuster Sale/santana trade?

Early returns look better for both - at least on the pitching front.

He's only started twice for me, but Santana's pitched a little better than Sale did. However Mookie Betts is batting a very Ray-Oyler-like .160.

Uh, Richard is TERRIBLE v RHB here's his slash in your pitcher's park:
0.318 0.278 0.499
In my park that jumps to:
0.353 0.315 0.594

That's awful. And, given that most teams have mostly RHB and that most teams hit LHP better than RHP (especially in a 100 mil league) you're getting a HUGE bargain from what he's given you.

As for the trade, I was waiting for the "tradees" to comment on why they made the deal.

p.s. I have just guaranteed that Richard will make the all-star team.

You're welcome ;) 8-)

Both teams were sucking before the deal. How could it hurt?

Ouch, lost three one run games at home without Rizzo and we missed a 1-14 BPHR in each game. That smarts.

We are so streaky. Ugh. :?

Of course, when you've had a total of NINE games all year with your whole team for an entire game, you're going to be streaky I guess.

Guess it shouldn't be too much of a surprise as Smokey is 16-5 now in one run games! Yeesh, get a few breaks much? :o :o
