NLD 48 - Now Panda-licious

I feel Joe's injury pain. I lost 3 more to injuries in game 2 against Jeep last night - had to play Hoying at SS and Ervin at 2B. Hoying's failure to make a play helped set up Jeep's 7-run 7th to pull ahead and win game 2.

Jeep took 2 out of 3 from me - all 3 were 1-run games. He's now only 4 back and I have both Seager and Gallo out for part of my series with Doug.

Yeah, injuries stink. I tired to avoid that with this team. 7 of 9 have only one injury or less and five have 600+ PA. Only Trout is a big injury risk. And how do you explain losing Swarzak to 15 games over 2 injuries? Bad luck I'd say.

We've already had more injury days than you would expect for the entire season. We have the 4th most in the league and you wouldn't expect that. We should be fourth from the bottom, not fourth from the top. C'est le SOM I guess.

YUP, we are done. Got swept at home by Big A. 9 back. The fat lady is singing.

To top it off we lost Trout for 15 in the first game of the series.

Dale is playing a starring role as "spoiler" in the East race - sweeping both Doug and Jeep. My sweep of Doug last night opened up some space in my battle with Jeep, but we still meet for 9 more.

Well, had to dump Trout who was going to miss 13 of the last 21. Also dropped Swarzak (3 more) and improved the pitching overall. Hopefully Santana will be good enough and the platoon replacements (Hanigan and LInd) v LHP will be adequate.

Nothing to lose as we have almost no shot anyway, but what the heck! We're only 5 mil below so we still have more cap than Dale!

Had a chance to sweep Smokey last night but couldn't pull out game 3. Lost 2-1 in 10 innings. We cannot afford to lose ANY close games at this point. The injury induced slide that we underwent dug us a very deep hole.

The new pitching was awful in the first series against Semper, but better against Smokey. Maybe I just need a new pitching coach who knows what to do with a bullpen because CLEARLY my coach has NO idea.

WTF, two more one run losses (another in extras) and a pen that even with really good pitchers just sucks. Morrow has a 2+ whip and 7+ ERA and Bradford Almost 2 and almost 7. Yeah, it's SSS, but crap if they're good instead of just sucking we have a chance.

We outscore Big A by 3 in the series, but lose 2.

Not much you can do if the dice don't like you. We've gone -5 since I did the ratings, We've gone 1-7 in one run games in the past 21, 3 of those in extras and one other game that we also lost in extras. Needless to say, that will lead you to a 6-15 record over said games. The injuries didn't help.
