9 Seasons, Expanding Cap, DH
For those players with more than one card, ANY card can represent a player. To encourage parity, the cap for this theme is lower, meaning some managers may have to make decisions on downgrading a player to a lower card or making a trade to free up space, while enabling others to compete. Keep this in mind when selecting a Franchise and when creating your teams.
Season 1 Prep— 82m Cap
FRANCHISE DRAFT—Randomized Draft Order. Each manager will draft a Roster from one of the Original 16 Franchises. Rosters are listed below in the thread. The 4 unselected franchises will no longer exist.
We will then hold a Dispersal Draft, the order is listed below. The Dispersal Draft will consist of players from the 4 Unselected Franchises, plus the following:
Boston Red Sox must select 2 pitchers to be submitted to the Autodraft
Cincinnati Reds must select 1 pitcher to be submitted to the Autodraft
Cleveland Indians must select 1 pitcher to be submitted to the Autodraft
Detroit Tigers must select 2 hitters to be submitted to the Autodraft
New York Yankees must select 2 pitchers to be submitted to the Autodraft
St. Louis Cardinals must select 4 pitchers and 7 hitters to be submitted to the Autodraft
To create your Autodraft card, you may utilize your Selected Team Roster, those players Drafted in the Dispersal Draft, plus any players not drafted.
PLAYER POOLS
The Player Pool for each season is found in the Shuffles. Player Pools are named: ANDY'S ALT Golden Age Season 1, and following.
STRAT will set up this league so that you only need TWO RP-onlys for a roster, so this will ensure enough RP-onlys to create a roster.
DRAFTS FOR SUBSEQUENT SEASONS:
First, Each manager will select one player carded to his franchise who began MLB play during the upcoming season. This player must be carded to your franchise and will be designated your Franchise Player. If the team has NO FRANCHISE PLAYER OPTION for a particular season, that team will receive a Supplemental Pick between Rounds 1 and 2.
Each subsequent season, we will then conduct 3 Round Entry Draft in Reverse Order of Finish, in which ANY other players can be drafted by ANY team. (These picks are not franchise-related)
TRADES ARE ENCOURAGED
Player Trades are STILL allowed, and ANY ELIGIBLE Free Agent on the wire is eligible for ANY Franchise. PLAYER Trades can take place at any time, Pre-ENTRY DRAFT, PRESEASON or during Regular Season, other than after Game 142.
TRADING DRAFT PICKS WILL ONLY OCCUR in the time between the END of the SEASON and the NEXT SEASON'S ENTRY DRAFT. You may not trade a player for an DRAFT PICK during the Season.
ROSTER SIZE
Rosters will not exceed 25 players.
TEAM NAMES
Naming Your Team—PLEASE USE THE FRANCHISE NAME, no weird off-the-wall team names or cities. This is a "replay" of the Golden Age, 1946-1960.
EXPANDING CAP
The plan on the expanding cap is:
Season 1 82m
Season 2 82m
Season 3 83m
Season 4 84m
Season 5 86m
Season 6 88m
Season 7 89m
Season 8 91m
Season 9 93m
