AN OPEN MESSAGE TO JON CAYER
via league mail, PM, ILC, and email

The Nordiques are obviously one of the worst teams in the league. They will no doubt have a poor W/L record for the 2011 season and be eligible for the lottery for the #1 draft pick. What do you stand to gain by throwing games?

I do not seek out instances where managers choose to avoid common "fair play" concepts, however I do feel the need to publicly call out such behavior when it is brought to my attention. For example:
- Having your only $0.50 SP as the top pitcher in your starting rotation
- And benching your only SP*
- Having your top hitter (and 1e6 fielder) pulled for a defensive sub when you are winning, late in a game
- Having your 2nd best hitter batting 7th and your 3rd best hitter batting 8th
- Starting $0.50 hitters (5 of them!) instead of using your 4th best hitter
- Having an 8R-rated hitter as your DH vs. LHP

Please immediately correct the situation. For the good of the league, I will have no choice but to ask Strat to remove you from it and have HAL take over your team, if corrections are not made.

Thanks for returning to the good sportsmanship that has been the hallmark of the many years you have played in several of my leagues.

Terry
