The current FA draft looses its luster by the 6th round.

The proposal wasn't to include unrestricted players, it was to include Unleashed players. So I don't think, considering there aren't that many Unleashed players every year, that it affects FA draft pick values all that much. However, if we were going to consider it for NEXT year, I think the decision should be made before a regular season MLB game is played this year. The rule change has to be made before there is enough information out there (i.e. player stats) to allow speculation about who is going to be Unleashed to affect owner decisions.

In regard to making a change for this year, I vote no.

There is a motion on the table to change General Rule 10. The new rule requires 16 votes to pass. The thought on proposing the rule is that it may add another layer of strategy on draft day. Is that unleashed player the real deal or a flash in the pan?

Current rule:
10) The regular SOMO card set (NOT unleashed) will be used.

Proposed new rule:
10) The unleashed card set will be used.

Please vote. A "Yes" vote is to change the rule, a "No" vote is to keep the rule as is.
