1947-1966 Franchise League
To follow up our 1921-1946 Franchise League, here is the 1947-1966 version. You will have the opportunity to play with a smaller set of players and use players you may not normally use.
15 seasons, 95m, DH (I know there was no DH then, but gives better opportunity to use more players)
I came to a 95m cap decision because I want the teams to be competitive, while at the same time I wanted the Yankees to be the Yankees, the Dodgers to be the Dodgers, etc.
THIS IS A 15 SEASON COMMITMENT. Managers rotate through the 15 teams; 3 teams per season will rotate out. The A’s were dispersed to help the other teams.
Draft players carded to your franchise from 1947-1966. In addition, the AutoDraft follows ASSIGNED and OFFLIMITS players listed below. You ARE NOT REQUIRED to draft your ASSIGNED players, they are simply yours exclusively UNTIL the Auto-draft runs. You MAY PLACE players from rotated out teams on your Autodraft Card, just realize that others may be after them as well, so place them higher on your draft card.
After the Auto-draft, any Free Agents who played for your franchise FROM 1947-1966 are eligible to be added to your team. Other than the exceptions listed below, you may ONLY use cards from 1947-1966.
Players carded to more than one team may be traded among eligible teams. These are the ONLY TRADES ALLOWED.
You may only use Free agents who played for your team FROM 1947-1966.
Each franchise has at least 3 stadium options, listed below with the franchises.
We will randomize for Team Rotation Order and Manager Rotation Order.
