Any interest in adding a 2 round prospect draft to the league? For someone to be considered a prospect they could not of played in an MLB game ie AB or IP. The change from the normal prospect rules they wouldn't have to be signed by an MLB team just no MLB playing time in the past. Also when they get an AL card they would have to be added to your active roster or cut.



We would use the records from this past season and have a draft lottery for the first round. Vote in the ILC.

I like this idea, with the additional rule clarification that the player must be within the organization by opening day. In other words, players selected in the 2013 amateur draft would not be eligible this season, but Internationals that signed over the winter would be eligible.

No to keep it simple any player that does not have any MLB playing time could be drafted a college junior a high school player, just no MLb playing time to keep it simple.

I'm Ok with the prospect draft. How would it work with the AL only format? Wouldn't you have a strong incentive to pick prospects that have already signed with an AL club? Otherwise, if they end up signing with an NL club you've basically wasted one pick. Am I missing something on that?

I had similar concerns as Geoff... I'd be inclined to not have prospects since this is an AL-only league. That said, I am willing to go along with whatever the rest of the group wants.

You are just taking a chance on a prospect. Picking an AL prospect might be better for you, but an NL prospect could get traded to an AL team. You would only be able to use the players card if it was an AL card.
