I’m considering making SS-Bobby Witt available so if anyone is interested please email/PM me & let me know. despite STRAT’s initial range ratings for him at 3B/SS he won’t be cheap.

I’m on holiday in San Francisco, CA right now but will have sporadic time here & there to respond to any inquiries/interest.

hope everyone is enjoying their offseason & holiday season.

thanx,
Rick

my ballpark has changed dramatically for this upcoming season/year so I’m looking for a homerun oriented park.

Camden Yards (Baltimore) went from 1-18 HR all the way down to 1-4 HR for both LHB & RHB.

anyone that would like to trade their homerun ballpark for my new “pitchers” ballpark please email or pm me.

the rules don’t currently allow for an owner to drop a ballpark when STRAT changes that park dramatically from one year to the next.

thanx,
Rick

BTW I’d like to think we all build our teams to fit the ballpark we’re in with the idea that the park would remain relatively the same year after year. I never expected when I traded for this park last year that it would drop by 14 the very next year & it would now become a pitcher’s park. I built my team around offense & not around pitching.

I have loads of pitching but need hitting. Let me know if you are interested in any of the below. Looking for similar hitting value in return.

Noah Syndergaard (3.94 ERA , 1.25 whip)

Young stars
Max Fried (2.48 ERA, 1.01 whip)
Cal Quantrill (3.38, 1.21 whip)

Bullpen stars
Paul Sewald (2.67 ERA, 0.77 whip)
Jordan Romero (2.11 ERA, 1.02 whip)

Future stars/Off-season or injured (for teams looking toward the future)
Hunter Greene SP (4.44 ERA, 1.21 whip, 164 K's in 125 IP)
MacKenzie Gore SP (4.57, 1.47)
Ian Anderson
Chris Paddack

This league's rule on ballparks preceded my involvement with the league. That said, if you would like to propose a rule change that could be brought to a vote, I welcome it. It would require 16 votes to pass. Now is a good time to have that discussion.

I was considering this idea but wanted to gauge league interest before I put something out there. We changed this in a couple of leagues I was involved in last year when I made a very compelling argument about the drastic ballpark numbers STRAT made between the 2020 (2021) & 2021 (2022) seasons (years) to numerous parks. My argument was that after looking at 3 years (2019,2020,2021) worth of ballpark numbers the only consistency with STRAT & HAL was the inconsistency from one season (year) to the next whether it was singles, homeruns or both.

so with that being said would any league members be open to having more flexibility with changing ballparks either annually (2 seasons) or semiannually (4 seasons) after the spring FA draft??

Changing wouldn’t be mandatory but optional & would be according to league record of season2 or season4 (worst to first). you would be required to announce your intentions when making your cuts for the spring FA draft.

Why don't we open the discussion for comment for now. I'll post a proposed rule change and a formal roll call for vote after there has been an opportunity for folks to weigh in with their thoughts
