Gentlemen - as we wait for Ted to post his drops from Japan and consider Bill's loss (my condolences), I will get the SS up to date with the drops and recent flurry of trades. We will plan to get the FA draft started when Bill returns from the funeral.

I have a little bit more time now that my softball team suffered an upset loss in our NJ state tournament. My luck of the draw had us facing the defending champs with a stud D1 bound pitcher in the first round. I would have rather faced any of the top 4 seeds rather than this deceptively ranked #12 seed. This after a weeklong layoff due to the rain that swamped the East Coast this past week to 10 days. We were predicted to go far and were one of the hottest teams in the state prior to the rains. C'est la vie:

Great season by you and the ladies Smitty. As I was reading the article I began to wonder why softball pitchers toss underhanded. After some googling it turns out that it wouldn't be wise otherwise. A baseball weights 5.25 oz. and a softball 6.5+. Much elbow/shoulder calamities would occur if the softball was thrown overhand. A shout out also to the reporters handle. A lot of us can relate.

And the motion is acually more physiologically natural. There is less stress on the joints and the recovery time is easier. That is why softball pitchers can throw every day if necessary. This girl is a one-woman wrecking crew. They have no other worthwhile pitching alternative. She will throw every inning of the playoffs. There are no limits (as in HS baseball in NJ).

Now that Ted had checked in, let's set the stay of the FA draft for Wednesday. Bill should be back by then. Leery me know if this doesn't work for anyone. I am in Massachusetts for a soccert tournament with my daughter this weekend, so the updated SS will have to wait a few more days. I will do my best to get out out to you prior to the draft's start.

Tim K trades:

Trea Turner, SS
6th Rnd 2018 FA Pick

to Ninersphan FOR:

2nd Rnd 2018 FA Pick
4th Rnd 2018 not 2028 FA Pick

Ninersphan to confirm

We have a couple of issues here - mainly that Bill has neither a 2nd or 4th round FA pick to trade this year as he had previously traded both of those in separate deals.

And in another matter - Tim K needs to drop 3 more players as a result of the trades made. You currently stand at 28 players after your drops. You need to drop 3 to get down to 25 prior to the beginning of the draft.
